Files

In general, the simplest way to contribute files containing images and the like is to use the Upload file button in the toolbox. Several files can be uploaded at once using the button at the top of the form.

If you wish to upload a large number of files, or to upload a file with a filetype (suffix) that is not presently allowed, please send mail to qed@princeton.edu.

For further details, see Help:Upload.

New Pages

Most pages on this site are organized into folders in one or more of the appropriate namespaces — primarily the main namespace, the "Course:" namespace, the "Princeton:" namespace, or the Project: namespace.

To create a new page, you can type its full name (including its namespace and folder if any) in the search box, and press Go. For example:

  • to create a page for "Definitions" in the MG folder in the main namespace, you would type MG/Definitions
  • to create a page for "Definitions" for a course ABC123, you would type Course:ABC123/Definitions

Another way to create a new page is to add a reference to it. Such references can always use the full page name, but they can also use relative links. Continuing the two examples above:

  • on the MG page, you could add the link [[/Definitions]]
  • on the Course:ABC page, you could add the link [[/Definitions]]

For details about how to create a new page, see Help:Editing#New pages.

If you wish to create a new folder, we recommend you contact an administrator (mail to qed@princeton.edu) so that a suitable logo and other details can be discussed.

For details about course-related folders, see Help:Course. Instructors may also wish to read Help:Blackboard.

For other folders, see Help:Folders.

Sandbox

If you would like to experiment with editing a page, please feel free to edit Sandbox once you have logged in.

If you would like to experiment with creating new pages, please create one in your User: space, e.g. if NETID is your netid, then you could type User:NETID or User:NETID/sandbox in the search box and press the Go button.
