From within the princeton.edu domain, you can simply enter "qed" instead of "http://qed.princeton.edu" in your browser address bar. Other abbreviated forms are allowed. For example:

If you would like a spelling checker that works with the [[wikipedia:MediaWiki|MediaWiki]] editor, the [http://toolbar.google.com Google toolbar] may be used. After installing the toolbar, click on '''Settings''' to activate the spell-check button if it is not already displayed.

===Relative Hyperlinks===
Within a page/subpage hierarchy, relative hyperlinks such as <nowiki>[[../]]</nowiki> may be used.

A special notation for so-called interwiki links is available to simplify creating links to other web sites. For example:

* <nowiki>[[wikipedia:tiger]] is short for [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/tiger]</nowiki> and appears like this: [[wikipedia:tiger]]
