Alternatives to uploading a DOC file
Before uploading a DOC file, please consider the pros and cons of converting it to an alternative format, such as wiki markup or a mixture of wiki markup and HTML. See Help:Import for information about tools and strategies for doing so.
Here is a checklist of some points to consider:
- ability to search for text using the QED Search capability
- the need for hyperlinks into the DOC text
- time-to-view
- file size
- ease of updating
