Folder-based access restrictions
For pages in the main namespace, Folder-Based Access Restrictions are determined by the page FOLDER/edit: where "FOLDER" is the folder name.
Similarly, for pages in the namespace X, folder-based access restrictions are determined by the page X:FOLDER/edit:, except that in the Image: namespace, the delimiter character is "=" rather than "/".
In the Image: namespace, one can also use the tag {{Folder:FOLDER}} to limit access based on the ACLs for "FOLDER".
The ACLs are only effective if the edit: page is protected.
Category-based access restrictions
For pages in the main namespace, Category-Based Access Restrictions are determined by the page FOLDER/protected: where "FOLDER" is the folder name.
Similarly, for pages in the namespace X, category-based access restrictions are determined by the page X:FOLDER/protected:
The ACLs are only effective if the protected: page is protected.
