Tips and Tricks

  • If text-to-speech is on, it can be toggled with the SPACE bar.
  • If text-to-speech is off, the shortcut for turning it on is SHIFT+SYM. (It takes a few seconds to start.)
  • ALT+DEL will delete everything in an entry box.
  • One way to delete a book or file is to select the entry on the HOME screen and move the 5-way to the LEFT. You will be asked for confirmation.
  • One way to search google or wikipedia is to bring up the search box and move the 5-way to the RIGHT.
  • To refresh the screen, use ALT+G ("eliminate ghosting").
  • To zoom in on an image, use the 5-way to center the cursor on the image. When the magnifying glass appears, click.
