This template may help streamline the process of creating a navigation bar to be included on pages in a folder, including its top-level page.

Syntax

{{subst:FOLDER/Navigation|COMPLETENAME}}

where COMPLETENAME is the complete name, including any namespace, of a folder.

Usage

1. Copy the following string so that you can paste it in the next step:

{{subst:FOLDER/Navigation|COMPLETENAME}}

2. Create a page named Template:MYFOLDER/Navigation (replacing MYFOLDER with the name of your folder, excluding any namespace prefix), and paste the text into it.

3. Change COMPLETENAME to your folder's name, including its namespace if any, e.g. MySpace or Project:MySpace.

4. Make any additional adjustments and then save the page.

5. Add {{MYFOLDER/Navigation}} to the top of each page you want to have the navigation bar, changing MYFOLDER as in step 2 above.
