This does not work very well because it sends you to the top of the page. See Template:Permalink for a better approach.

plainlinks eliminates the wiki external-link thingy.

Unfortunately we cannot use SERVER or the localurl: trick.

Unfortunately, <div style="cursor:default;"> ... </div> also does not work.
