The following table indicates whether it is possible to "drag and drop" images from one viewer to another:
- green indicates "yes" or a qualified "yes" if a qualification, as explained below, is shown;
- purple indicates that no direct method is known;
- white indicates that an alternative method exists as indicated by the text.
- "OIV" refers to ARTstor's "Offline Image Viewer" (version 3.03 or 2.6a)
- "Windows" refers to a Windows Explorer view, or MSIE as a source.
| From\To | OIV | Powerpoint | VUE | Windows |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| OIV | Version 3 | |||
| Powerpoint | copy-paste | "save as webpage" | ||
| VUE | FF | FF | copy-paste | FF |
| Windows |
Notes:
- "FF" means via a browser such as FireFox. The metadata may be transferable as well. For example, from VUE search results, double-click on the mini-thumbnail to bring up the image and possibly metadata in the browser. Then:
- select everything with Ctrl-A
- use drag-and-drop.
